- COUNTRY=ccc
- or
- COUNTRY=ccc[,[yyy][,[d:][pathname]COUNTRY.SYS]] [new DOS 3.3]
-
- COUNTRY establishes the date format and code page to be used. The DATE command
- topic describes date formats.
-
- ccc specifies the country code to be used. This determines the date format
- BACKUP and RESTORE will use when selecting files by modification date.
- It also determines the currency symbol and decimal separator used.
-
- yyy specifies a specific default code page to be used instead of the one
- normally used with the country code.
-
- [d:][pathname]COUNTRY.SYS specifies the location of the COUNTRY.SYS
- information file. The SELECT command is used to place a COUNTRY.SYS
- file on a disk.
-
- Different vendors may use different values for ccc, which are derived from the
- international telephone system. 001 (United States of America) is assumed if
- none is specified. See the NEW_TERMS CODE_PAGE CODES topic for a list of the
- country codes and information on installing and using code pages.
