- JEDI is the initial protype of a jet engine diagnostic system for
- the Pratt & Whitney JT8D-7 gas turbine engine, commonly found on-board the
- Boeing 737 and DC-9 aircraft. JEDI was developed under AbTech IR&D with the
- NASA-Langley Research Center. JEDI results from a combined application
- of the AIM (TM) machine learning tool and other abductive modeling techniques
- employed by AbTech. It provides the baseline for the development of an
- overall system diagnostic concept exhibiting the following capabilities.
-
- - Fault Detection (*)
- - Fault Isolation
- - Degradation Estimation
- - Sensor Fault Detection (*)
- - Sensor Fault Isolation (*)
- - Dynamic Behavior Modeling
- - Diagnostic Conclusion Confidence Measures
-
- The asterisk (*) denotes the capabilities which are currently implemented
- in the JEDI prototype.
