  8. EISPACK is a collection of double-precision Fortran subroutines that
  9. compute the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of nine classes of matrices:
  10. complex general, complex Hermitian, real general, real symmetric, real
  11. symmetric banded, real symmetric tridiagonal, special real
  12. tridiagonal, generalized real, and generalized real symmetric matices.
  13. In addition, two routines are included that use singular value
  14. decomposition to solve certain least-squares problems.  The
  15. single-precsion versions are in SEISPACK.
