  15.        _X_k_i_l_l is a utility for forcing the X server to close  con-
  16.        nections     to clients.  This program is very dangerous, but
  17.        is useful for aborting programs that have displayed  unde-
  18.        sired  windows on a user's screen.  If no resource identi-
  19.        fier is given with _-_i_d, _x_k_i_l_l will display a special  cur-
  20.        sor  as    a  prompt  for    the user to select a window to be
  21.        killed.    If a pointer button is pressed    over  a     non-root
  22.        window, the server will close its connection to the client
  23.        that created the window.

  27.            This option specifies the name of the X server  to
  28.            contact.

  30.        --iidd _r_e_s_o_u_r_c_e
  31.            This  option  specifies    the  X identifier for the
  32.            resource whose creator is to be    aborted.   If  no
  33.            resource     is  specified, _x_k_i_l_l will display a spe-
  34.            cial cursor with which you should select a  window
  35.            to be kill.

  37.        --bbuuttttoonn _n_u_m_b_e_r
  38.            This option specifies the number of pointer button
  39.            that should be used in selecting a window to kill.
  40.            If  the word "any" is specified, any button on the
  41.            pointer may be used.  By default, the first button
  42.            in  the pointer map (which is usually the leftmost
  43.            button) is used.

  45.        --aallll    This option indicates that all clients  with  top-
  46.            level  windows  on  the    screen    should be killed.
  47.            _X_k_i_l_l will ask you to select the root window  with
  48.            each  of the currently defined buttons to give you
  49.            several chances to abort.  Use of this  option  is
  50.            highly discouraged.

  52.        --ffrraammee  This option indicates that xkill should ignore the
  53.            standard conventions for finding top-level  client
  54.            windows    (which are typically nested inside a win-
  55.            dow manager window), and simply believe    that  you
  56.            want to kill direct children of the root.
