  14.        _S_h_o_w_f_o_n_t displays data about a font that matches the given
  15.        _p_a_t_t_e_r_n.     The information shown includes font information,
  16.        font properties, character metrics, and character bitmaps.

  18.        The wildcard character  "*"  can     be  used  to  match  any
  19.        sequence     of characters (including none) in the font name,
  20.        and "?" can be used to match any     single     character.   The
  21.        "*" and "?" characters must be quoted to prevent them from
  22.        being expanded by the shell.  If no pattern is given,  "*"
  23.        is assumed.
