  35.      Welcome to Cadenza Software.  Cadenza Software is dedicated to only writing
  36. Atari (TOS compatible) software that is both powerful while being easy to
  37. use.  Cadenza Software applications and accessories released on and before
  38. the 1st November 1996 are deemed FREEWARE.  This means the copyright is
  39. kept by Matthew Bacon and Cadenza Software.  PD libraries and Atari users
  40. may distribute Cadenza Software on the condition that NO files are omitted
  41. or altered in any way!

  43. All Cadenza Software products are written and produced using HiSoft Basic
  44. v2.10 (in my opinion the very best BASIC on any home computer) and Wercs
  45. within a MagiC 5 environment on a 4mb Atari STe with a Hi-Res monitor.

  47. I wish to stress that, while Cadenza Software applications should work in
  48. exactly the same way regardless of resolution, number of colours on
  49. screen, Atari compatible computer (obviously all set-ups cannot be tested!).

  81. Welcome to tictactoe. This program was designed as an alternative to playing
  82. 'noughts & crosses' and wasting all those pieces of paper.  Because tictactoe
  83. is GEM compatible (and full multitasking compatible) you can play a game in the
  84. middle of writing a letter in Papyrus for instance.

  89. · Discussion of functions available
  90.   It is a simple affair really.  On the title screen click anywhere on it.  The
  91.   playing board will then appear.  It is first a good idea to choose your
  92.   opponant.  You can play against a friend (he/she will not be one for long
  93.   though!!!) or the computer (it lets you win occasionally - honest!).  The
  94.   other icons represent, 'Start a new game' and 'Quit'.
  95.  
  96.   Just click on the square you wish to start and the game begins.  When playing
  97.   against the computer, you are given the choice to go first or let the
  98.   computer do so.  That's it really.
  99.  
  100.   You do not have to keep hitting the 'Start a new game' icon everytime you
  101.   wish to start a new game (unless you are in the middle of a game), simply
  102.   click on the square where you wish to start the game and begin.  In the
  103.   registered version the limit of only 5 games is removed and you can play for
  104.   hours, or even days if you wish!!!!!  A point to remember is that the player
  105.   that goes first, always becomes crosses.

  161. Below I have listed the some of the reasons why I think YOU should register as
  162. a user of tictactoe...
  163. - Because you will gain a Desk Accessory version as well as lifting the
  164.   limit of three/five games (demo restriction). In order to recieve these
  165.   registered versions a self address envelope, stamp & disk need to be
  166.   provided!!
  167. - Because it's free!, FREE!, YES FREE!!
  168. - Because it will encourage me to produce an update and further software for
  169.   the Atari community!
  170. - If you supply a disk when contacting me by letter, I will copy all the latest
  171.   Cadenza Software onto it! (including source code of certain applications!).
  172. - If you supply an E-Mail address, I will contact you to inform you of future
  173.   updates and products by Cadenza Software (your E-Mail address will not be
  174.   given to any commercial companies!).
