  17. Shareware Desktop for TOS and compatible operating systems.
  18. Thing offers animated icons, background images, group files, ST-Guide 
  19. on-line help, an auto-locator, long filename, MultiTOS, Drag&Drop, Kobold, 
  20. ALICE, TOS2GEM and AV protocol support along with many other state of the 
  21. art features.
  22. Thing is a modular desktop which allows the user to assign their favourite 
  23. utilities. In practice this means you need to install a file viewer in 
  24. order to read files from the Desktop. Since you'll probably have ST-Guide 
  25. installed to read the on-line help it's the ideal choice.

  32. CAB is currently the only graphical HTML document browser available for 
  33. the Atari platform. Happily it's also a full featured, stylish GEM 
  34. application, offering complete HTML2, most HTML3 and many NetScape 
  35. features. Includes ST-Guide format hypertext help, fully configurable via 
  36. stylish GEM interface.
  37. This latest release now downloads text before images which makes it 
  38. possible to scroll through the page and follow links without hanging 
  39. around to download unwanted pages. The mouse pointer changes to a pointing 
  40. finger and displays the link in the window status line and animated GIFs 
  41. are supported.

  43. STOS Compiler Fix version v1.0

  47. STOS officially only supports TOS versions up to TOS 1.62 but this fix can 
  48. insert tables for up to 11 different TOS versions into STOS programs at 
  49. compile time automatically, which means your compiled programs can run 
  50. equally happily on a TOS 1.0 ST and the latest Falcon TOS 4.04

  56. This sample collection was created using Sound Chip Synth to accompany the 
  57. review in this issue. The AVR files can be played using Atari's own System 
  58. Audio Manager (SAM) and many other utilities. The SYN files are for use 
  59. with Sound Chip Synth.

  66. Corporation - a disk drive manufacturer. Atari moved out of its Sunnyville 
  67. home without saying "Goodbye" - read all about it.
