  2.  K4 Profile by Martin Russ
  3.  -------------------------

  5.  The K4 is an immensely powerful
  6.  synth which can be exploited
  7.  much more easily by having 
  8.  immediate access to the many
  9.  parameters contained inside it-
  10.  especially the mixing facilities!
  11.  
  12.  These K4 profiles provide a 
  13.  complete environment for exploring
  14.  the K4, with the exception of the 
  15.  Multis (Kawai's fault-they did not
  16.  include any System Exclusive 
  17.  messages to get at the Multis!).
  18.  
  19.  There are three Profiles:
  20.  K4SNGPRF.PAN
  21.  K4DRUMS.PAN
  22.  K4EDIT.PAN
  23.  
  24.  Each of these is designed to give
  25.  a comprehensive and easy to use
  26.  way of controlling one specific
  27.  aspect of the K4. Here are the
  28.  details of each:

  30.  SINGLE PERFORMANCES
  31.  
  32.  The K4SNGPRF.PAN profile is
  33.  designed to store 8 separate
  34.  settings of the major things
  35.  which need to be set, or even
  36.  adjusted whilst playing a 
  37.  sound on the K4. Since most
  38.  of these parameters are spread
  39.  out over several different
  40.  buttons and button presses on
  41.  the K4, having them all in one
  42.  place can make things much
  43.  easier.

  45.  The SEND button on the right
  46.  hand side of the MIDIman screen
  47.  will send all the values which
  48.  can be seen on the sliders at
  49.  any time - this is how to use
  50.  MIDIman to store complete user
  51.  settings on pages....

  53.  DRUMS
  54.  
  55.  The K4DRUMS.PAN profile can
  56.  be used to give quick access
  57.  to the vast array of drum sounds
  58.  which the K4 is capable of. If you
  59.  have tried to use the menu button
  60.  system then you will know that it
  61.  can be quite tedious, especially
  62.  for setting up a whole keyboard
  63.  widths-worth of drum sounds!

  65.  This profile gives the drum
  66.  parameters on a single page - 
  67.  and provides 8 pages for the
  68.  storage of complete drum
  69.  sounds for future use.

  71.  EDITING
  72.  
  73.  The K4EDIT.PAN profile is a
  74.  traditional full editor for
  75.  the K4. Every parameter for the 
  76.  single voices is included, and it
  77.  should make editing sounds much
  78.  easier and faster than using
  79.  the multiple button press system
  80.  which the K4 uses.
