  1. Please note, for persons who are
  2. upgrading to SFTP v1.24, the path.txt
  3. file must be copied to your sftp directory.
  4. Older versions of path.txt will not allow
  5. sftp to be displayed on your monitor. Also,
  6. sftp now requires two extra files to run
  7. properly. They are sftp2.exe (note the 2)
  8. and go.exe. Go.exe is a cardware process killer
  9. function by Carsten Wimmer. Please follow
  10. the directions in the go_15.zip file to
  11. register for go. SFTP now uses
  12. Go.exe to kill download processes.

  14. With v1.24, sftp introduces Cruise Mode for
  15. muli-process file transfers. For more information
  16. on Cruise Mode, read the file CRUISE.MOD.

  18. For persons upgrading from SFTP v1.09 or
  19. below, SFTP now requires the FILEREXX.DLL included
  20. in the sftp zip. Be sure to copy both
  21. rxftp.dll and filerexx.dll to a directory
  22. in your DLL path.

  24. Thanks to Jeff Glatt, author of
  25. FILEREXX, the SFTP progress indicator,
  26. in version 1.10 and beyond, now works
  27. on FAT partitions.

  29. Also, version 1.11 and beyond now support hosts aliases
  30. and require a new format for the hosts.txt file.
  31. Old host.txt file must be converted
  32. to the new format. If you are upgrading from v1.10
  33. or below, convert you host.txt file by doing the
  34. following: place a copy of your hosts.txt file and the
  35. convert.cmd file that comes with sftp in the same directory.
  36. Open an os2 command window and switch to the directory
  37. with these two files. At the command prompt type: convert
  38. and press enter. The program will prompt you for host
  39. aliases for each of your hosts. Copy your converted
  40. hosts.txt file back to your sftp directory.
