  4. *******Importing Old Sites*******
  5. CuteFTP now has a new Site Manager that writes to a file called smdata.dat
  6. You can import your old tree.dat files by clicking on "Import" in the new
  7. Site Manager, and then selecting your 1.4 to 2.0 tree.dat file from your previous
  8. version. You can also import 2.5 version files, WS_FTP files, and 1.3 
  9. version files.

  11. *******Help File*******
  12. The new Help files does not have an Index/Search function. Look for that
  13. implementation at a later date. (version 2.6)

  15. ********Resume Uploading and Confirmations*******
  16. CuteFTP has the new "upload confirmation" turned off by default, as it will 
  17. resume transfers automatically if you are resuming a partial upload, and 
  18. if the server supports that feature. If you are not resuming a partial upload,
  19. then default action is overwrite.

  21. ********Y2K Issues*******
  22. CuteFTP now uses the rule of 70 combined with server date info to process
  23. dates correctly for year 2000. It will interface with other software &
  24. hardware that uses 2 digit date format for representation of the year by
  25. implying that values less than 70 indicate 20xx and values greater than 70
  26. indicate 19xx. It will accurately interface with other software & hardware
  27. that uses standard date format (4 digits)for representation of the year.
