What was the third track they played at this show?  It was the 2000-2001
London Arena gig that was on the FTP server.  Yes, Joey Dean, I'm doing your

Tension is the third track, the second track is Tootled.

According to TowerRecords.com (and towereurope.com) there will be a US
release of Funny Break on March 19th, which is a Monday (and US releases
come out on Tuesday). Hmmm... if it's true, that will be nice because it's
been ages since I purchased a US Orbital single! Gotta love US singles
because you get all the mixes and b-sides on one disc...

    That was the original UK release date.

Surprised to see Orbital playing live on 'The Base' (ITV show featuring Emma
B) - so shocked, that I wasn't ready to record it!!

Anyway, did anyone else see them playing this live??

It doesn't immediately (from that one play I've heard so far) lend itself to
being a single... Maybe it'll grow on me...

Also, found out that apparently Orbital joined up with Lenny Kravitz &
Madonna to perform "Ray Of Light" at the MTV Music Awards in 1998... I knew
that they'd remixed "Bedtime Stories", but wasn't aware of the "Ray Of
Light" performance...

Looking forward to the Brixton date!

I think I remember seeing that awards show and if they were a part of that
performance I couldn't tell... is it possible you are talking about William
Orbit?  I think he had something to do with Madonna's music at one time.

I'll go for Meltwater by Biosphere because I think in an ideal world
enviromental issues would be higher up all goverments agendas, also it's
a quiet track so people might still have a bit of eardrum left to play
with afterwards !

That's the most likely explanation...

...There's an item on E-bay
(http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1416397074) -
basically a collection of  Madonna live tracks, and the first track says:

"1. Ray of Light (live with L. Kravitz & Orbital Mtv Video Awards 1998)"

So, being a CD-R, it could well be a misprint (it has been known)!!

hear hear!

initially, i would obey my conscience and nominate
Tranquillizer by Biosphere for the world to hear, but
seeing as Biosphere just got covered, I'm happy to look
further into my musical influences.
Seeing as it's the Orbital list and many have chosen
Orbital tracks already, I'll pass up the chance on my
natural selection #2; Planet of the Shapes (to reflect the
diversity of humankind (all "shapes" and sizes) ;P, but I
will not go there.
Instead, I'll choose ... <djum joll>

Frederic Galliano - Sans Titre No 4

for the excellent collaboration of bringing together
traditional, african rhytms and "folk" music with modern,
electronic music. So, in a way this only because my
favourite of a huge selection of similar music, but you get
the gist of my reason. Music that brings together cultures
is noteworthy and exciting in my eyes. (Now it's up to you
to decide whether you agree with _that_ opinion :))

Just noticed a sample of Orbital's Chime (taken at about 10 seconds from the
end) in Joey Beltram's Energy Flash at about 1min 50 into the track. Was
that cleared by Orbital??  If so, what made them do it!?
