- I can confirm that it is Luke Slater. I have the track you are speaking of
- on a CD I burned the other day. I don't think I took it from the Wipeout 3
- CD (a very good compilation I might add)...but maybe another comp. my
- brother let me borrow. Any who... I have it and yes it is Luke Slater.

- Hey all,
- I just recieved the new Mike Flowers 12" on Lo
- Recordings......featuring the 1999 mixes by Cylob and the Chime
- mixes. Now, has anyone else heard this yet, and does anyone have
- any more information on this release....just wondering. It's quite a
- fun record, and it's also pretty damn limited so go out and find a
- copy now if you so desire. Well, take it easy everyone......

- I'd like to do pretty much the same thing when I can afford it, I've been
- recommended a program for the PC by Steinberg called Re-Birth for making
- music , mixing etc.which is supposed to be excellent. That's about all I can
- help with.

- I guess it all comes down to how good your machine is. I'd reccomend buying
- a good soundcard (and/with) a decent MIDI interface.
-
- People have been raving about this card:
-
- Site says $500USD.. which is less then what it was a couple of months ago.
- The breakout box has standard midi in/out jacks which is great if you ever
- plan on buying a keyboard (and you should!). You can also do a physical
- midi loopback. I've found that most loopback drivers suck. They work w/
- some apps and fail w/ others.
-
- Anyways.. given the hardware, rather then wasting your time step sequencing
- in rebirth and being completely limited by it's capabilities, I'd reccomend
- looking at a combo of Reaktor (awesome synth) and Cakewalk (midi sequencer).
- You may also want to look at Cubase VST/24 .. it's terribly expensive
- though. You can do midi sequencing in Cubase, though I've never used it for
- that purpose.
