- I cannot say this enough: AUTECHRE AUTECHRE AUTECHRE!!! Pick up Tri Repetae++ and do yourself a great favor.
- It's a great intro that includes a full release and two EPs. Then just sit back and let it GROW on you.

- I couldn't agree more. Tri Repetae++ is absolutely amazingly brilliant. Be
- sure you get the ++ version, not the normal version, or you will miss out
- on the brilliant eps included in the ++ release. Also check out their
- Incunabula album, totally excellent stuff.
- Other stuff I would mention:
- Aural Planet: Lightflow. For those into the tracker scene, this is from 3
- polish guys: Scorpik, Key G & Falcon. I highly recommend this album if you
- can find it, but last time I knew, Scorpik was still looking for a
- distributor outside Poland, contact him at scorpik@kki.net.pl or
- planet@polbox.com.
- Banco de Gaia: Maya, Last Train to Lhasa, Big Men Cry. I absolutely love
- the stuff from this guy, ambient with a mix of ethnic, trance and dub. LTtL
- is especially awesome IMHO.
- Global Communication: 76:14. If you've never heard this album, then you've
- been missing out on quite simply one of THE best ambient albums ever. Get it.
- Shamen: Axis Mutatis/Arbor Mona Arbor Mala. This is the LTD Edition bonus
- cd version, the bonus cd is purely instrumental and I can't love it enough.
- Well worth getting if you can find it, if only for the bonus cd :)
- Amorphous Androgynous: Tales of Ephidrina. FSOL alter ego, cool stuff :)
- KLF: Chill Out. Just get it, ok?
- Deep Forest: World Mix, Boheme. if you're into Enigma, then check this out.
- Seefeel: Succour. If you like Autechre, then you might like this one :)
- Anyone heard the lastest album from him?
- FSOL: Lifeforms, Cascade ep. My fave FSOL cds. Accelerator is good too.
- Allister Brimble: Bang! Tick.. Tick... Cool stuff :) You can find it at
- www.lynnemusic.com at least :)
- Bjorn Lynne: Witchwoods, Dreamstate, The Void. all kinds of stuff, though
- Void is more in the prog.rock direction, still I would recommend those :)
- Mike Oldfield: Songs of Distant Earth. his best album IMHO.
- Stephane Picq: Lost Eden. Brilliant soundtrack to a brilliant adventure
- game. www.shooting-star.com for more info.
- Vangelis: 1492 (movie soundtrack), Antarctica. Very good Vangelis albums,
- China is also good.
- Black Dog Productions: Bytes. A classic.
- the Deseo Remixes. Jon Anderson (of Yes fame) gets mixed up with FSOL,
- Global Communication, Deep Forest & Trans-Global Underground. Can I say...
- wow? :)
-
- I think that should cover some parts of my collection at least ;)

- I just read the post re: migraines and I too get them. Although I
- haven't had one if a few years. But some of my musical remedies include
- listening to The Orb's 40 min Blue Room track- I think that 'wha u-wha

- basically any long uninterrupted piece of music does the trick for me.
- I doubt many of you have heard of Keith Jarrett, but he's an

- of these pieces are completely improvised piano playing music from 40

-
- High!
-
- Last week i got the Diversions EP and Underworld's Pearl's Girl EP. (for
- uw-stuff, read the dirtylist... i'm not gonna crosspost)
-
- They're both surprisingly US import. surprisingly, because i ordered them
- from http://www.1cd4u.com, and that company is UK/belgium based (and i live
- in belgium).
-
- About that Diversions EP: my understanding is that Lush 3-3 and 3-5 are
- made by underworld and cj bolland. but what's lush 3-4 warrior drift
- psychick warriors ov gaia? (only thing i can make of it is that gaia is a
- animal rights group in belgium that act sometimes like 'warriors', but
- methinks that's not the right explanation...) it's rather lengthy and
- uninteresting for something on an orbital EP. i found myself expecting each
- beat to hear something new in it, but it seems to just be looped through
- 'rebirth' (or offcourse the real stuff:303 and 808)
- what i do dig about Lush3 and all lush remixes, is that that sample always
- returns. euro tunnel disaster has it, underworld use it, and cj bolland
- incorporates it also...
-
- semi detached: anyone also having trouble with keeping the rhythm in the
- beginning? hard to dance on when it kicks off me thinks...
-
- i was rather being bored this easter weekend, so i spend some time reading
- old posts (i have em all since i joined this list, about a half year ago).
- and one threat was about orbital videos. and this saturday-evening (errr...
- make that sunday-morning) i saw for the *first* time the box full on mtv's
- chillout zone (nope, we on mainland europe have no amp or whatever... you
- find me each sunday morning between 3am and 5am lurking the tv-set with my
- vcr on, and a tape ready to tape anything that's interesting) in the 4-5
- months i'm having this strange behavior, i've only taped 2 orbital videos:
- are we here? and the box... isn't it for crying out loud?
- another subject was t-shirts: at the time i didn't think i would wanted a
- non-official orbital t-shirt, bcuz i thought they weren't that hard to
- find... but well, people get older and wiser... so: when/where/how can i get
- (un)official orbital merchandise? or anyone in to do some original
- limited-edition t-shirts? hats? pants? shoes? condoms? (that would be
- cool: orbital condoms...) sunglasses? socks? or a laundry machine from the
- are we here video? that would be cool: "orbital: english quality laundry
- washers, use lesser water and electricity"... in fact, they maybe could run
- on beats... oh whatever... i love the shot of that plane lifting up and
- pulling up the gear in the are we here? video...
-
- ok, i'm now gonna write something to the dirtylist about the Pearl's girl
- EP... so catch ya later!

- Hey,
- Off topic, but it's something for you to read, right?
-
- Has anyone listened to the Blech compilations off of Warp records? I've
- listened to two of them, one green the other pink, and I found the green one
- was really good (It has Autechre, AFX + aliases, Link, B12, Nightmares on
- Wax, etc.). It's all dj'ed up and the songs blend together nicely, perfect
- for a party or whatever. But the pink one has the same artists but they
- actually dj'ed it and mixed the songs together so that they are like new
- songs. This would be cool, if they didn't sound like Hip Hop instead of
- techno. Can you imagine Ventolin being mixed into the background of a rap
- song? because that is what one part is. When I first saw this cd I
- thought it would be awesome since the other one was good and this one had
- similar artists, but I was wrong.
