  11. This post-release fix is for the following products/versions:
  12.  o F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper 6.40
  13.  o F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper 6.41
  14.  
  15. If you use earlier versions of the above mentioned products, please 
  16. download and install the latest version.
  17.  
  18. This post-release fix includes the following fixes: 
  19.  o CTS#36954 Unable to access certain sites 
  20.  o CTS#36763 IGW ignores list of trusted hosts 
  21.  o CTS#36402 IGW Daemon does not start after reboot 
  22.  
  23. Before applying this hotfix, it is highly recommended to install F-Secure 
  24. Anti-Virus for Internet Gateways 6.40 Hotfix 1 (AVIGW640HF1) first.

  26. TECHNICAL DETAILS
  27.  
  28. SCR#36954 description:
  29.  
  30. When the content blocking is enabled and the product is configured to 
  31. block certain content types/extensions, the end-user can experience 
  32. problems when accessing certain web sites. The problem is fixed in 
  33. this post-release fix.

  35. SCR#36763 description:
  36.  
  37. The product will scan the requests coming from a host listed in the 
  38. Trusted Hosts table, if it is specified there as FQDN (Fully Qualified 
  39. Domain Name) instead of an IP address. This post-release fix solves the
  40. problem and the product will not scan requests coming from trusted hosts
  41. defined the Trusted Hosts table as it is expected.

  43. SCR#36402 description:
  44.  
  45. The product does not start after the system reboot or manual restart if
  46. there is a large number of sites specified in the Banned Sites table.
  47. The product is attempting to resolve banned sites at start-up and it 
  48. results a timeout on waiting for the HTTPSCAN process to start. In this
  49. post-release fix the default timeout to start HTTPSCAN process has been
  50. increased (1 minute) and it's also possible now to change the timeout 
  51. interval via the StartHttpscanWaitingInterval registry setting. The 
  52. setting should be created under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\
  53. CurrentControlSet\Services\F-Secure Anti-Virus for Internet Gateways 
  54. Daemon\Parameters" registry key. For example, the following sets 
  55. StartHttpscanWaitingInterval to 2 mins (120 secs, 78 in hex format):

  76. HOW TO APPLY THE POSTFIX LOCALLY

  78. o Unpack all files from the package into a temporary folder on the
  79.   local machine.

  81. o Open this folder in Windows Explorer and then double-click 
  82.   "fsavigw640-02.fsfix".
