  1. This directory contains files pertaining to the League for Programming
  2. Freedom.

  4. The file lpf.join contains a summary of the purpose and activities of
  5. the League, plus a membership form.
  6.  
  7. The file look-and-feel.events is a summary of recent events in the
  8. news and some messages explaining what the League or the FSF has
  9. done and why.  There are also some messages from people explaining
  10. why they joined the League.
  11.  
  12. The file look-and-feel.texinfo is the League position paper on the
  13. subject of user-interface copyright.  
  14.  
  15. The file patents.texinfo is the draft of a position paper on the
  16. subject of software patents.
  17.  
  18. The file techrev.patent is an article by Brian Kahin on the dangers of
  19. software patents, published in Technology Review (March 1990).
  20.
