And so the great invasion was over. The diablos were beaten and the
world was safe. The lightfolk were returned to their own plane, and the
brightifants disappeared by means of their own. After a long search, the
flying wagon was recovered, none the worse for the wear.
That was not the end of the party's troubles, of course. Things are
seldom quite so neat, and rebuilding an entire world is not painless.
For one thing, The Seat was burned almost to the ground. Erecting
shelters for the survivors took a full day, even with mighty magic. Its
economic prominence was erased and would be a long time in the
restoring.
For another thing, somewhere on the other planes the diablos still
roamed, and someday they must surely be faced again.
But all in all, it was a great time for The Seat, and for Salanor, and
all of Ca. The Blemenese refugees gradually returned to their homeland
to rebuild. The border towers were disabled, and the ruined land
replanted. Gradually the sky and the water returned to their previous
state -- if not quite pristine, at least no longer poisonous.
And thus matters remained -- not forever, but long enough to say the
adventure was at an end.
