I finally have a WWW page and an ftp site for distribution of my fiction.
Currently available is 'Dark Destiny', a large story based on my electronic
AD&D campaign of five years or so. The moves are available in their
original form, with feedback from players. You can access the files by
ftp at 'calum.csclub.uwaterloo.ca' in the '/pub/u/cbnorman/campaign'
directory. They are also available on the world wide web through my
home page 'http://calum.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/u/cbnorman'.
The following is the first chapter of 'Forbidden', the beginning of the
Dark Destiny campaign. It's actually one of the worst chapters, as my
writing style has definitely improved over the years.
Coming in the future on the site will be
- The complete 'Wizard of Smaug'
- The complete 'Wolf'
- A couple of AD&D modules I wrote
- Who knows what else?
If you ftp anything from my site, please send me a piece of email noting
you're using it, so I know this is worth my time =) Comments are always
appreciated.

FORBIDDEN -- MOVE 0 -- ALL PLAYERS
Once again you find yourselves in the massive crystal structure known
as the Citadel. The largest church of Omnvar in the world, indeed the
larges church period, it is a marvel to wonderous to be beleived. Raised
from the very earth itself by the ancient Kodal mages it is
unduplicatable by weaker magic of today.
Though man made the furnishings of the Citadel are no less
impressive. Carved into its walls are decorative ivory mosaics. The
furnishings are all of polished redwood and teak. Satin and velvet
tapestries caress the walls. Your bare feet are caressed by the supple
two inch thick carpet made from the hide of a Zrutty.
You are taken to meet the Bishop herself. Falling before her and
prostrating yourselves (whether from genuine religions respect or simply
out of respect for local customs) you can not help but stare. The Bishop
is to say the least beautiful. A girl of only nineteen she has just
rescently obtained the title after her mother, the previous Bishop, was
called home to Omnvar rescently. She is clad in loose white robes. Her
auburn hair is of a fantastic length, reaching from her high held head to
the very floor. Her tresses do not actually trail to the carpet however,
a Solni-Magus stands behind her holding her hair aloft with a simple
spell.
You gaze about in curiosity at the others in the room. Are these to
be your new companions in service to the Bishop? You see....
A large muscular Kodal Warrior. His name is Terrax. You recognize
him from his exploits, mainly beating up Molros in taverns.
A thin Elknos Paladin. You of course know him, Iodin. All Elknos
are known. They are VERY rare and VERY highly reguarded by the church.
A robust and cheerful looking Moldan. Of course you do not know his
name, why should you? Smiling at you he tells you he is "Melin,
alchemist and astronomer".
A medium sized Moldan. Or at least he has brown hair. But NO Moldan
has muscles as large as his! Oh not that he's a superman. Your average
Kodal would easily be much stronger than him, but he just doesn't look
like a sagely Moldan to you. He identifies himself as "Kalen".
A Kodal, but a strange lookin one. He is a bit short and weak
looking for a Kodal. And he is not homely in the least! Infact, he's
rather attractive. Somewhat like a blond-haired very strong Molros. How
confusing! He identifies himself as "Drax Darkforge".
"My faithful servants" speaks the Bishop "I hope you know why I have
brought you here. As you all well know the great Paladin Marquand
Assumnous Blade has been missing for over a year now. It is time that we
find him, one way or another." The Bisop pauses and wipes a tear from
her left eye. "I fear that my prayers have revealed that he is dead.
They also reveal that he lies far away. Farther than anyone has traveled
from the Citadel. I can only hope that my prayers are mistaken, perhaps
befuddled by the great distance. She brightens for a second. She turns
to the Kodal and the Elknos. You two have been chosen for your superb
records in exploration of the known and unknown world. She then turns to
the Moldan. You, worthy Moldan (the Bishop is SO polite, even when
talking to a lowly Moldan) have been chosen for your Astrological
prowess. It is hoped that the stars may guide you when all else fails.
She then turns to the robust Moldan. "This man is not a native of our
country. He comes from a far off land. He is a skilled warrior and a
priest of some unknown but benevolent nature god" (the warrior mumbles
"godess!" irritably). We hope that he will be able to guide you somewhat
in the unknown lands. She turns to the blonde skinny Kodal. This man
too is of an unknown race. Some form of strange Kodal, he seems not as
physically strong but he seems to have quicker wits (Terrax frowns).
Rest! Prepare yourselves. Tomorrow you ride forth into the unknown
to seek the body of the one known as Marquand Assumnous Blade. To aid
you I have one more companion to add to your party." A slender
attractive Solni-Medos enters the room. You suck in your breath in
surprise. It is Tesse, Tesse the prophet. She is well known for her
divinatory prowess and healing skills. This must be a very important
mission if Tesse is accompanying you. Unlike you she is not an
adventurer.
The Bishop adds one thing. "We expect to have the Solni-Magus
Silvanara to aid you in your quest soon." You all know of Silvanara.
She is a strange one. Her hair, like any Solni, is jet black. Only it
has a silvery strip down the back. Her skin is also darker than that of
a normal Solni. Their are whispered stories that she is a half breed of
some type, but they are only rumors. It is said that her mother,
Celestain the gate maker (a powerful Solni-Magus) conceiver her by an
otherworldly creature of some type.
