  19. PATRIMONY
  20. A character (or a follower, or henchman) receives an "inheritance"
  21. they didn't know they had from their father or some more ancient
  22. ancestor.  Note that these types of inheritances don't have
  23. to be land, wealth or possessions: sometimes certain _rights_
  24. were just as valuable.  For instance the right to own land in
  25. certain places, the right to start a business, or be exempt from
  26. taxes, or whatever.  For balance, it probably shouldn't be 
  27. something _too_ wonderful.  It may even have problems attached
  28. (squatters on land, politicians who don't like people exempt from
  29. taxes, etc.).

  31. CHIMNEYS
  32. There's a killer on the loose in town.  Someone (something?) is
  33. killing people and stuffing them down chimneys and fireplace flues.
  34. People find out when they light their morning fires and the smoke 
  35. backs up.  No visible wounds.  Is it poisoning?  Demons?  Rabid 
  36. Santa Claus?

  38. FLOATING
  39. Some washing women (damn, I'm sexist) are down by the river when
  40. something horrible floats to the surface.  They run back and tell
  41. everyone.  Was it alive?  Dead?  Is it there when someone goes
  42. to investigate?

  44. CRUCIBLE
  45. Some guy off the street comes up to a character and wants to buy
  46. an object they carry (a sword?  helmet?  shield?).  He offers to
  47. pay with a small marble crucible.

  49. CALCULUS
  50. Some sages in the city come up with a new higher-order mathematics
  51. which they say is very useful for describing natural phenomena.
  52. The local church immediately denounces it as unholy and sacrilege.

  54. PROLAPSE
  55. A medical condition with which to inflict a PC; specifically, the
  56. falling down of a part of the body from its normal position, 
  57. usually the womb or the rectum.  I kid you not.  Look it up.
  58.  
  59. ACID
  60. The players must (for whatever reason - debt, magical item required,
  61. payment to a mage, etc.) retrieve, whole and unbroken, the internal
  62. acid sac of a black dragon.  First kill it (non-destructively), then
  63. cut out the sac (tricky business).

  65. RUMOR
  66. A nasty personal rumor spreads about a PC.  It's untrue, and
  67. quite nasty.  Who started it?  What implications will it have?
