  21.     I think it's in G, somtimes at least.  I like the way the Grateful
  22. Dead play the song, so that's where this transciption comes from.  I play it:

  27.     A note on the above.  The Gm-G-C, etc, thing is fast and rythmicly
  28. strange (at least to me.)  I had to practice for a long time before I could
  29. do it.  Anyway, the thing between the repeat signs is one measure of 4/4
  30. long.  An approximation of the timeing is:

  37.     If you play a Gm barre at the third fret then the G is achieved by
  38. hammering-on the 3rd with the second finger.  You don't have to strum the
  39. G chord that way (let the rest of the Gm ring.)  The Gm only last for a
  40. short while to color the transition from G to C.  O.K. enough about that.
  41. Send me mail if you want more explanation.  One last thing:  this minor,
  42. hammer to major thing is a nice trick to keep you from getting bored and
  43. it sounds really neat at the right time.
