January 20 Woody Guthrie Memorial Concert in Carnegie Hall, NYC.
February 26 Interview in Newsweek by Hubert Saal.
June 5 Death of Abraham Zimmerman, Dylan's father
June 22 First major review of the Basement Tapes entitled
"The missing Bob Dylan Album" published in Rolling Stone.
Mid-June Birth of Samuel Dylan
September Release of BROADSIDE BALLADS VOL 1 featuring takes of
Let Me Die In My Footsteps, John Brown, Only A Hobo and
Talkin' Devil by "Blind Boy Grunt", all recorded at the
Broadside Office in New York, January 1963.
October Sing Out publishes an interview by John Cohen and happy Traum
November George Harrison visits Woodstock, records a few demos.
(Kroogsgard dates these demos to May 1970).
December The two interviews by Izzy Young from October 1961 are
published by the magazine Other Scenes.

All released on A TRIBUTE TO WOODY GUTHRIE (Warner Brothers)
April 1972.
Songs 1-3 were also performed in the evening set, but no
recording is circulating.
