*Violet Arcana poetry*
The Midnight Air
I draw upon the midnight hour, thoughts set deep
My own mountain meadow to steep myself within
I gaze across the bent grass into a black velvety pocket
My eyes alight upon a shard of light on a silver locket
A beckoning hand draws me near and I must follow
Delicately, I place my foot upon the rich brown earth
My path is lit by the midnight moon, and as I turn 'round
Sparkling spider web crescents drift slowly to the ground
The place where she has lain comes to my perception
But nowhere does her emerald eyes point the path
To flitter a dance of delight upon my weary brow
Such a tantalizing vision, albeit not now
But I am caught off guard by scent so delightful
That I soon discover my misery is but a transient
Replaced by a wonderful rainbow of succulent flowers
Dripping rich vapors, on hours and hours
What could this be, so pleasantly wafting by
For soon comes a wanton realization:
'Tis her that I am deeply imbibing within
For there is no one that can convey such grievous sin
Confirmation comes by way of soft silken hands
Delicate touches that bring, oh, but sheer delight
A driving force wells within and I turn upon the midnight air
And find my shadow cast across her lusciously lurid stare
