  3.              GROUND TRUTH FILE DESCRIPTION

  5. FILE:  BD1INFO.TXT

  7.     The file BD1GT.DAT contains measured ground truth data for
  8. the first RADIUS model board.  In order to simplify computer
  9. reading of that file, it has been formatted as four columns of
  10. ASCII text numbers separated by spaces with no explanatory text.

  12.     The first column of the file indicates the identification
  13. number of the ground truth measurement point.  These numbers
  14. correspond to the numbers on the white tags in the documentary
  15. photos as well as the textual description to be provided.

  17.     The second, third, and fourth columns contain the x, y, and
  18. z coordinates, respectively, for the identified ground truth
  19. measurement point.  The unit for the coordinates is INCHES and is
  20. reported AS MEASURED ON THE MODEL BOARD.  The model board was
  21. constructed to have a scale of 1:500 where one inch on the model
  22. board represents 500 inches in the simulated scene.  Not all
  23. specified ground truth points could be successfully measured. 
  24. These points do have identification numbers in the measured
  25. ground truth file but have the x, y, and z coordinate columns
  26. left blank.
