recommends "users [do not] download iWork 09 installers from sites
offering pirated software (As of 6 am EST, at least 20,000 people
ha[d] downloaded this installer)."
When infected copies of the iWork 09 installer are run, they install
a hidden trojan program called iWorkServices with full access rights
to the target computer. Once the trojan is installed, it will
attempt to connect to a remote server and provide the server with
the infected computer's network location. It then listens for
further instructions from the remote server, which may include
instructions to download additional components.

on the new interface first introduced in MacVector 10, with
customizable toolbars, a new multi-pane Preferences pane and pop-up
menu paths on window title bars.
File reading has been simplified and enhanced to allow easier
importing of sequences into any function inside MacVector. The
Assembler module has been updated too, with easier editing of reads
and contigs, and a new view to enable printing of contigs, says

allows users to interface their MIDI pad controllers and controller
keyboards directly with the software. What's more, Playa is packed
with a set of instruments, all recorded and programmed by SoniVox's
sound design team.
Playa offers Mac stand-alone, AU, VST and RTAS compatibility. It's

countdown to the next sunrise or sunset, and more.
Version 1.4 allows the current date and time to be changed. Changing
the current date provides the ability to view information such as

power and connectivity solutions, has introduced two new, all-in-one
USB Over Cat5 Extender Hubs (Models U224-1R4-R and U224-4R4-R).
The U224-1R4-R consists of a 3-port USB 2.0 hub and a 1-port remote
receiver. The U224-4R4-R consists of a transmitter and a 4-port USB
remote hub. Both models enable peripheral devices to be located up to
150 feet from a computer using inexpensive Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. Each
includes an AC adapter to supply power to the remote end of the
installation. No drivers or special software are required to install
and use the extenders.
The U224-1R4-R enables up to four peripherals to be connected to a
single computer (three local and one remote). Users simply plug the
hub into the USB port of a computer, connect three peripherals to the
hub, run Cat5e/Cat6 cable from the hub to the remote receiver, and

Service, has announced a new version of their software to complement
their service. BackJack's new Business version (5.1) follows their
Enterprise version (5.0) which has been in use since 2007.

Enterprise version so that small to mid-sized businesses and
educational institutions can benefit from more cost-effective
pricing, simplified backups, more efficient uploads and enhanced

internal support, storage, and user management.
What's more, Synectics' upcoming solution, known as Continuum, will

Developed for burgeoning artists and architects, including AutoCAD,

messages they receive and to personalize how they view messages.
With this app, users can express thoughts by writing or drawing on a
snow covered screen. Zephyr senses every touch and tilt to supplement
each message with a wind sound. Gently composed writing might be
accompanied by the sound of a lightly blowing breeze. Quickly drawn
designs might generate the sound of blustery winds.
If a recipient likes a particular message, he or she can express
"love" by tapping on a heart icon. A message that is "loved" will get
passed on to another recipient.</div></div></span>

the multi-sync hub for Macs that's designed to sync Microsoft
Exchange, Google and Apple contact and calendar information.
Changes since Sync'Em version 1.18 include multiple user interface
improvements, new uninstaller options that are important if
re-installing, later. Sync'Em version 1.20 also fixes two problems
that could cause syncing to hang and works around a problem with
unhandled exceptions in OS X's Sync Services.
Sync'Em has its own full-featured sync engine that syncs non-Apple
sources directly, enabling it to sync Exchange-to-Exchange,
Exchange-to-Google and Google-to-Google and perform multi-source
conflict resolutions in one interaction.
Today Sync'Em syncs Exchange, Google/Gmail and/or Address Book
contacts and Exchange and/or iCal basic calendar events. Soon
