CommonGround Softworks Inc. Announces Qilan(tm) version 2.7.</p>
<p>HOOKSETT, NEW HAMPSHIRE - January 28, 2003 - CommonGround Softworks Inc<br />
today is pleased to announce the availability of an OS X 10.2 (Jaguar)<br />
compatible version of the Qilan database tool.</p>
<p>This upgrade adds the two new database adapters; Microsoft Access and<br />
MySQL. MySQL is currently the most popular open source database used with<br />
content-driven web sites.</p>
<p>Qilan 2.7 is available for download as a time limited trial. A web based<br />
process will allow access to the file download area and generation of trial<br />
enablement keys. The Qilan 2.7 upgrade is available to existing Qilan users<br />
for $99 USD. Full pricing information is available on our website.<br />

<p>Qilan Overview:<br />
Qilan provides a specific, focused and powerful tool for database and web<br />
developers seeking to overcome the limitations of existing products, who<br />
seek to integrate, migrate or scale upward from existing projects. Qilan<br />
communicates between single or multiple databases. It is also a database<br />
development environment allowing both schema and data access. Please refer<br />
to our supported database web page for specific feature support. Certainly<br />
there are other commercial and open source tools available, but we feel<br />
that the Qilan graphic user interface and tools save significant time. Web<br />
pages can be built using your favorite HTML authoring environment, then<br />
imported into Qilan. The Qilan graphic environment allows these pages to be<br />
manipulated and put into production quickly for complex web based projects<br />
without "coding".</p>
<p>Qilan enables web sites to communicate with single or multiple "backend"<br />
data sources. The Qilan graphic environment builds query and report logic<br />
that reside on the web server. This logic is applied across supported<br />
database vendor products. "Write one question and ask multiple databases".<br />
Queries can be sent to one or many databases over the Internet, and the<br />
results displayed on a single web page. Qilan driven web pages can perform<br />
updates, data transfers, and data synchronization between databases. For<br />
example, web hosting providers wishing to harness the power of OS X could<br />
use Tenon Intersystems iTools 6.5 along with the MySQL installer from Tenon<br />
with Qilan to provide secure eCommerce and commercial quality data-driven<br />
web sites.</p>
