and joins StuffIt-segmented files.</p>
<p>Contextual Menus are now supported in StuffIt Deluxe 4.5. Clicking on a<br />
file or folder while holding down the Control key opens the Mac OS 8<br />
contextual menu list with StuffIt's Magic Menu commands, making StuffIt's<br />
commands available from any file.</p>
<p>Archive Via Rename<br />
Archive Via Rename extends file compression and expansion into the Mac OS8<br />
Finder. Adding or deleting the ".sit" or ".sea" suffix to a file or folder<br />
name will instantly convert it into a StuffIt archive, self-extracting<br />
archive or expanded file.</p>
<p>Other improvements and features in StuffIt Deluxe 4.5:</p>
<p>Internet Support<br />
o Integration with mail (AOL 3.0, Claris EMailer, and Lotus cc:Mail) by<br />
simply selecting an item in the Finder and choosing "Stuff and Mail" from<br />
Magic Menu, the file or folder is Stuffed into an archive and attached to a<br />
newly-created e-mail message.<br />
o Support of UUencoded, BinHex and Base64/MIME-encoded files.</p>
<p>Faster Stuffing And Expansion<br />
o StuffIt Deluxe 4.5 is faster than previous versions. BinHex and UUcode<br />
expansion speed has improved significantly.<br />
o StuffIt Deluxe also includes DropStuff which creates StuffIt archives,<br />
self-extracting archives and can optionally BinHex-encode archives for<br />
distribution over the Internet.</p>
<p>Other features<br />
o Drag and drop applications (or "drop boxes") are included with StuffIt 4.5.<br />
o DropCompress, a drop box included in 4.5, allows users to quickly<br />
SpaceSaver-compress files for saving disk space.<br />
o DropSegment allows users to segment large files and StuffIt archives<br />
using a drag and drop interface. This feature allows users to fit large<br />
archives on portable media such as floppy disks and Zip or SyQuest drives<br />
which can be fully restored into a single file again.</p>
