MAIL SERVER (EIMS) V2.0.</p>

<p>SAN DIEGO - November 3, 1997 - QUALCOMM Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM), a<br />
leader in wireless communications and advanced electronic messaging<br />
solutions for the Internet, today announced availability of Eudora Internet<br />
Mail Server v2.0 (EIMS) for the Mac OS. The EIMS server will join the<br />
Eudora family of software products, the world's most popular Internet email<br />
solution used by over 18 million users. EIMS 2.0, the second server product<br />
)from the Eudora division of QUALCOMM Incorporated, joins Eudora<br />
WorldMail(tm) Server for Windows NT. The latest commercial version of the<br />
EIMS server includes comprehensive documentation, technical support and new<br />
features that directly address the messaging needs of small to medium-sized<br />
businesses.</p>
<p>QUALCOMM Incorporated licensed the EIMS technology in 1997 from Apple<br />
Computer, Inc. EIMS, originally known as the Apple Internet Mail Server<br />
(AIMS), was licensed and distributed freely over the Internet by Apple Inc.<br />
Since acquiring the EIMS software, QUALCOMM Incorporated has demonstrated<br />
strong commitment to enhancing and improving it, evidenced by the two<br />
updates to the EIMS v1.x and the release of the EIMS v2.0 commercial<br />
product. EIMS v1.x server software will continue to be available from<br />
QUALCOMM Incorporated as a freeware product. EIMS software is<br />
standards-based supporting POP3, APOP, SMTP, ESMTP, Ph and MIME protocols.</p>

commitment to letting customers choose the right product from a family of<br />
commercial and freeware products available on a variety of platforms," said<br />
Mark Levitt, research manager for Electronic Messaging at International<br />

<p>Features and new additions provided by EIMS v2.0 include: Multiple Local<br />
Domain Support allows Internet Service Providers to support independent<br />
local domains for multiple customers or company administrators to create<br />
different domains for various departments.</p>
<p> Anti-Spam Feature stops people attempting to deliver spam over the<br />
Internet from utilizing the EIMS server as a "relay server" using IP<br />
address blocking and relay restrictions.</p>
<p> Remote Administration accomplished via the EIMS 2.0 Admin tool. The<br />
administrator can access and make changes to the EIMS 2.0 server from any<br />
Macintosh connected to the Internet or intranet.</p>
<p> Intuitive Interface Design simplifies installation and saves time in both<br />
learning and administering the email and user accounts.</p>
<p> Intermittent Connections to the Internet via SMTP ETRN saves money by<br />
sending mail at off-peak hours. Email is stored in queue until a connection<br />
to an Internet host is established.</p>
<p> AutoReply feature allows the system administrator to create a bounceback<br />
message for specific accounts.</p>
<p> 90 days Free Technical Support from the award-winning Eudora tTechnical<br />
support team to assist with any technical issues.</p>
<p> Directory Lookup Services utilizing the Ph protocol. Access up to 19<br />
fields of information for employees, corporate contacts, or both.</p>
