BeyondRealms is a Web server CGI that wraps many important functions<br />
required by all Webmasters into a single easy-to-use package. As the name<br />
suggests, BeyondRealms augments the built-in security features of many Web<br />
servers with page level user/group password protection. In addition, all<br />
pages processed by the application can include instructions for dynamically<br />
building the HTML text and then caching the template for for future use.<br />
For example, you can easily provide a password protected product price list<br />
that decides whether to show retail or wholesale prices based upon the user<br />
viewing the page.</p>
<p>BeyondRealms creates a secure platform independent database of users and<br />
groups. This allows the administrator to remotely create new users and<br />
groups without accessing the server directly. All administration is<br />
performed via the Web. In addition, the database can easily handle tens of<br />
thousands, or more, users without significantly affecting performance.<br />
Rather than relying on a text match in the file path, or general folder<br />
level protection, BeyondRealms provides unique protection for just the<br />
files you want protected. No need to worry about accidentally excluding<br />
pages you want visible to everyone at your site. This also means you can<br />
rearrange pages on your site without accidentally losing password<br />
protection.</p>
<p>In the same way that you specify password protection for a page, you may<br />
include commands in the HTML that directs BeyondRealms to hide or show<br />
portions of text, or include standard variables, in a page before it is<br />
returned to the person viewing the page. This sort of dynamic page creation<br />
not only energizes your Web site, but personalizes it to specific groups.<br />
The increased security also means that you can easily integrate products<br />
like SiteEdit Pro into your pages so that a link that allows you to quickly<br />
edit a page appears when viewed from a particular IP address.</p>
<p>When pages are read by BeyondRealms you have the option to cache the<br />
template in RAM so that the next time it is requested it doesn't have to be<br />
read from disk. This can significantly improve the overall performance of<br />
your server. In order to maximize the positive effects of BeyondRealms you<br />
can can have it process most or all of your Web pages.</p>

new version is available for download. A flashing message on the server or<br />
an Email will automatically be sent to you, no need to register your<br />

<p>A free demo of Web Server 4D is available for download. The demo will give<br />
300 hours of start-and-stop operation. The demo is a full-working copy and<br />
