<p>Apple and Hewlett-Packard Announce Printer Alliance</p>
<p>CUPERTINO, Calif., April 28 /PRNewswire -- Apple Computer, Inc. (Nasdaq:<br />
AAPL - news) and Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HWP - news) today announced<br />
that they are partnering to deliver HP's state-of-the-art printers to<br />
Macintosh(R) customers. As part of the agreement, HP will make future<br />
ink-jet printers compatible with the Mac(R) OS. In addition, Apple will<br />
resell a selection of HP's ink-jet printers to its education customers.</p>
<p>``HP is very happy to be recognized as Apple's premiere ink-jet printer<br />
partner,'' said Antonio Perez, VP and GM of HP's Consumer Products Group.<br />
``HP has a long history of providing world-class Macintosh-connect<br />
products, including LaserJet and DeskJet printers, ScanJet scanners and<br />
DesignJet large format printers that complement Apple's product offerings.<br />
This agreement will enable HP to provide state-of-the-art printing<br />
technologies to a broad range of Macintosh users.''</p>
<p>``Apple and HP are working together to ensure that Macintosh customers<br />
continue to have the best affordable printers,'' said Steve Jobs, Interim<br />
CEO of Apple. ``HP's commitment to provide built-in Mac OS support with<br />
HP's industry-leading printers is a big win for Macintosh customers.''</p>
<p>Apple will begin reselling two HP printers to its education customers in<br />
May. The DeskJet(TM)890CM printer with a Macintosh network bundle and HP<br />
DeskWriter(TM) 694C printer are now available for order. For more<br />

Apple plans to extend the availability of HP ink-jet printers to additional<br />

<p>Apple and HP also plan to work together to extend Apple's ColorSync(R)<br />

colors you see are the colors you print'' on their HP printers.</p>
