<p>July 15, 2002-Dearborn, MI-MacHack 17, the 2002 gathering of leading edge<br />
developers, in Dearborn, MI, was a huge success. Despite downturns that<br />
adversely impacted the rest of the computer industry, MacHack saw record<br />
levels of new attendance.</p>
<p>Building on the success of 2002, the MacHack planning committee is pleased<br />
to announce the dates for MacHack 18. As always, the conference will take<br />
place in its traditional home of the Holiday Inn Fairlane in Michigan. In<br />
2003, events begin at 12:01 AM on June 19 and run continuously until the<br />
wee hours after the closing banquet on June 21.</p>
<p>Expect a robust technical conference as conference chairman Dave Koziol<br />
leads his team of dedicated committee members to continue what has been a<br />
solid tradition of technical sessions and hands-on programming.</p>
<p>MacHack includes technical sessions, academic papers and formal and<br />
informal coding clinics throughout the 72 hour conference. In addition,<br />
MacHack features a level of interaction and cooperative hands on coding not<br />
found at any other conference.</p>
<p>Much of the activity focuses toward the MacHax Group's Best Hack Contest<br />
that is hosted by Scott Boyd, President of the MacHax Group. Expect the<br />
usual gang to bring you some of the wildest programming displays around. No<br />
one knows who will win until the votes are in.</p>
<p>All this and more will take place at MacHack 18, June 19-21, 2003. Mark<br />
your calendars now.</p>
<p>Conference registration costs $425 (a $100 discount until 2/28/03) and<br />
includes access to all conference events, 3 meals and the conference<br />
banquet. Of course, attendance of the legendary Hack Show is mandatory.<br />
