<p>FileWave Announces New Mac OS X Version of Flagship<br />
Product, FileWave 1.7</p>
<p>New Directory Integration features further add to FileWave's value</p>
<p>St. Gallen, Switzerland, September 21, 2004 - FileWave, the leading<br />
provider of Mac OS X system management software, today announced<br />
significant updates to its flagship software suite FileWave X 1.7. The new<br />
version allows businesses of all sizes to distribute Mac OS X software<br />
easily and rapidly across their distributed networks.</p>
<p>A system administrator needs to define a model software configuration only<br />
once, at a centralized location, and can move on to other duties while the<br />
configuration is quickly deployed to all designated client computers.<br />
FileWave's unique network and server-based software management tools,<br />
including software configuration and monitoring, are totally transparent to<br />
the end user.</p>
<p>Today, with FileWave X 1.7, directory services integration, using the LDAP<br />
protocol, is now possible. "With our new support for LDAP based directory<br />
services, system administrators now have the ability to integrate FileWave<br />
with their LDAP based directory servers," said Ben Forsyth at FileWave. "In<br />
those cases where a customer doesn't use an LDAP based directory server,<br />
clients can be imported from a standard text file. This new, and often<br />
requested, directory services integration, allows for the speedy creation<br />
of clients on the FileWave XServer. This release really signals the first<br />
step in our efforts to provide greater support of open standards and<br />
industry tools."</p>
<p>The software management tool FileWave X is made up of three modules:<br />
FileWave XServer, XAdmin, and XClient. FileWave X 1.7 offers an unsurpassed<br />
ease of use for IT managers and guarantees an extremely high speed of<br />
deployment when distributing software throughout a network. FileWave<br />
XServer centrally stores all data relevant to end users, while FileWave<br />
XClient is installed on the end-user system - thus allowing the<br />
administrator to distribute new software and updates from a centralized<br />
location at any time.</p>
<p>All enhanced modules supplied by FileWave have been certified for Apple's<br />
XServe hardware and also support Apple's AirPort technology for mobile work.</p>
<p>FileWave(USA), Inc. is currently offering FileWave X 1.7 free of-charge to<br />
qualified academic customers that sign up for a two-year support contract.<br />
