immediate availability of a new 60GB capacity Automatic Backup System Plus<br />
(ABSplus) for Mac(tm) OS and Mac OS X. The award-winning ABSplus is a<br />
complete backup solution with full recovery, designed for use with laptops<br />
but compatible with any FireWire or USB machine. Available today for the<br />
first time in a 60GB capacity directly from (<a href="http://www.cmsproducts.com" title="http://www.cmsproducts.com">http://www.cmsproducts.com</a>),<br />
the new 60GB capacity ABSplus is list priced at $799 USD, with ABSplus in<br />
smaller capacities starting at a list price of $279 USD.</p>
<p>"The response from introducing the ABSplus and ABSplus for Desktops to the<br />
Macintosh community in January was overwhelming," said Ken Burke, president<br />
of CMS Peripherals. "We have a lot of exciting news for Mac users over the<br />
coming months, however it was very clear that a higher capacity ABSplus for<br />
Mac was an immediate priority. We are pleased to provide 60GB capacity<br />
automatic backup for Mac users today as evidence of our commitment to this<br />
community."</p>
<p>ABSplus and ABSplus for Desktops was introduced on the Macintosh platform<br />
at Macworld Expo in January 2002 and was honored to receive a "Macworld<br />
Best of Show Award" because of its "understanding of the Macintosh<br />
community in an easy to use backup system."</p>
<p>Setting up either ABSplus solution is a quick install and a settings choice<br />
of "express" for single machine backup, or "advanced" for custom settings<br />
including multiple partitions or drives on one system. Once set up, using<br />
the ABSplus is literally as easy as plugging in the FireWire cable.</p>
<p>ABSplus is designed to defy extreme travel conditions, able to withstand a<br />
non-operating shock of up to 800Gs and operating temperatures ranging from<br />
5degrees C to 55degrees C. Both ABSplus solutions can be used as an<br />
additional drive volume with high-speed FireWire providing enough<br />
throughput for streaming audio and video files.</p>
<p>ABSplus and ABSplus for Desktops are available for Mac OS 8.6 and higher<br />
including complete archiving, full recovery and system bootability. ABSplus<br />
and ABSplus for Desktops on Mac OS X includes complete archiving and full<br />
recovery for the user area of the directory tree. Both ABSplus and ABSplus<br />
for Desktops are available with USB and FireWire.</p>

ABSplus is available in capacities of 10GB, 20GB, 30GB, 40GB and now 60GB<br />
starting at a list price of $279 USD. The new ABSplus 60GB is available<br />
today at a list price of $799 USD. ABSplus for Desktops is available in<br />
capacities of 20GB, 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, 100GB and 120GB with a list price<br />
starting at $349 USD.</p>
