  1. About this Font
  2.      This font is distributed as shareware as part of a promotion for the
  3. Scriptorium Font Library.
  4.      If you use this font for thirty days or for any publication or commercial
  5. purpose you are obligated to register it as shareware.
  6.      To register the font you may pay a $5 registration fee to Ragnarok, or you may
  7. order a sampler disk or the disk on which the font is featured for $15.  The later
  8. option is the best deal because you'll get a whole disk of legitimate, registered
  9. fonts for a very low price.
  10.      If for some reason you wish to distribute this font as part of a shareware
  11. collection or package, please contact us first at the address (netmail or US Mail)
  12. or phone number given below.
  13.      The rest of this is our standard catalog.  If you like this font you'll love
  14. some of the hundred-plus other fonts in the Scriptorium Font Library.

  17. The Scriptorium Font Library
  18.      The Scriptorium Font Library is a collection of fonts designed by Dave Nalle of
  19. Ragnarok Games for use in their publications, but now available to the public by
  20. direct mail.  The emphasis of the collection is on original display fonts, unique
  21. historically based calligraphy, foreign language and unusual decorative art fonts.
  22. Unlike large font houses which produce cloned packages of the same 100 standard
  23. fonts, we offer high quality fonts you've never seen before and can't get anywhere
  24. else.
  25.      Provided here is an up to date listing of all the font disks available at this
  26. time.  Each disk includes as many fonts as we can fit on it (usually 8 to 12 fonts).
  27. They are fully registered when you purchase the disk.

  29. SFL-1001: Font Sampler I
  30.      This disk includes 3 text fonts, 3 calligraphic fonts, 3 display fonts and 3
  31. specialty fonts taken from our original series of font disks.  It includes our very
  32. popular Taranis font as well as the new Fabliaux font, the medieval calligraphic
  33. fonts Bastarda and Courthand, plus two fonts from the Ysgarth role-playing game and
  34. the uniquely mystical Goetic font based on 18th century magical scripts.  $15.

  37. SFL-1002: Font Sampler II
  38.      This contains a new variety selection of fonts, including text, display,
  39. decorative and calligraphic fonts taken mostly from our second series of font disks.

  43.      A selection of fonts taken from our third series of font disks, including some
  44. decorative initials, art fonts and unique display fonts.  $15.  Update $5.

  46. SFL-2001: Text Fonts
  47.      This contains 10 unique serif and sans-serif fonts which meet the high
  48. resolution demands of all text uses.  The collection includes some elegant
  49. traditional fonts (both serif and sans-serif) like our Tancred and Palomides fonts,
  50. plus some very unusual offerings like the Kelmscott font based on William Morris'
  51. Troy font from the Kelmscott edition of Chaucer's works.  $15.  Update $5.

  54.      A collection of sophisticated and flexible text fonts, including some unique
  55. fonts and some based on classic styles.  Includes Boswell, Alcibiades, Proserpina,

  58. SFL-3001: Display Fonts
  59.      This disk features 10 attractive display fonts, including several art nouveau
  60. and medieval styles, plus a couple of unusual special use fonts.  Our favorites are
  61. the Starfield font, which looks like a scattered field of stars, the Buccaneer font,
  62. drawn from 17th century wanted posters and the Ariosto and Elysian fonts based on
  63. hand drawn fonts of the Munich Jugendstil movement of the 1890s.  $15.  Update $5.

  66.      This disk features 10 unusual display fonts, including a number of interesting
  67. Art Nouveau and early modern book plate styles, such as Beaumarchais, Averoigne and

  71.      Ten more display fonts, including some of our strangest, such as Golgotha (made
  72. of piled skulls), Eglantine, Mayhem and Sanguinary (title font from the game

  76.      Great new display fonts, including Acadian, Dunsany, Bruges, Engrossing,Rochambeau and others.  $15.  Update $5.

  78. SFL-4001: Calligraphic Fonts
  79.      This disk includes a variety of calligraphic fonts, including several
  80. Celtic-style fonts, fonts based on medieval and renaissance calligraphy and
  81. calligraphy from several 19th century art nouveau designers.   Includes Bastarda,
  82. Courthand, Fabliaux, Rackham and others.  Because these are based on genuine
  83. calligraphy they may not include all the characters you may expect and may include
  84. specialty characters or strange alternate forms for some letters.  $15.  Update $5.

  87.      This disk includes a variety of medieval English, French and Italian lettering
  88. styles plus several Eastern European styles and a special font based on the
  89. calligraphy of Howard Pyle. $15.  Update $5.

  92.      A special collection of unusual fonts based on hand-drawn renderings of
  93. medieval and ancient lettering styles.  Includes the fonts Constance, Talleyrand,
  94. Textura Quadrata and Iberia. $15.  Update $5.

  96. SFL-5001: Specialty Fonts
  97.      A collection of fonts for languages which don't use the English alphabet,
  98. including both obscure real world and historical languages and role-playing game
  99. world languages. Check out the Bahairic and Futhark fonts if you want something
  100. really different.  Oh, and did you say you were going mad because you couldn't
  101. decorate your computer-generated icons without Church Slavonic?  Well, try
  102. Patriarch.  It reads in English, but looks like Church Slavonic.  $15.  Update $5.

  104. SFL - 6001: Decorative Fonts
  105.      A special assortment of art fonts where each letter is a decorative initial or
  106. small picture.  It includes several illuminated manuscript alphabets, the extremely
  107. intricate Maidens font and some Art Nouveau floral motifs.  Because of the detail of
  108. these decorative initials only 5 fonts are presented on this disk, but they are well
  109. worth it.  $15. Update $5.

  111. SFL - 6002: Decorative Fonts II
  112.      This collection of decorative fonts includes some medieval classics and some
  113. very detailed 19th century fonts, as well as decroative initials based on the works
  114. of Howard Pyle and John D. Batten.  Because of the intricacy of these fonts only 5
  115. fonts are presented on this disk.  $15.  Update $5.

  118.      Five new decorative initial sets.  Fonts featured include the rather bizarre
  119. Otherworld and Netherworld fonts, the Italian art nouveau face Campobello, Florimel

  123.      This is a collection of illustrations in font form, including animals, heraldic
  124. shields, celtic spirals, arthurian miniatures, floral embellishments and more.
  125. These fonts are intricate so only six could fit on the disk.  $15.  Update $5.

  128.      More small illustrations and decorative embellishments taken from original
  129. designs and classic print sources, including our popular new Fairies font featuring
  130. images of mischievious little folk.   Available in Spring of 1994.  $15.  Update $5.

  133.      A collection of runic fonts, including Scandinavian runes, Celtic Ogham script
  134. and early medieval alphabets from northern Europe.  Available in Spring of 1994.

  138. UPDATE POLICY
  139.      Each of our font disks is updated with new versions at least once every three
  140. months, with updates being released on the first of January, April, July and
  141. October.  If you send in your original disk and $5 we will update you with the
  142. latest versions of all the fonts on that disk.  Most of our fonts are brand new, so
  143. expect pretty substantial changes with some of the updates over the next year or so.

  145. SHAREWARE NOTE
  146.      Support shareware.  Many of our fonts are distributed as shareware for
  147. promotional purposes.  If you see our fonts being circulated as unregistered copies
  148. (without our shareware notice), let us know...or let the culprit know that you dont'
  149. approve.  These fonts are too damned cheap for anyone NOT to pay their shareware fee
  150. or order them on disk.

  154. below. Please specify your computer type.  There will be a $5 reorder fee per disk
  155. if you fail to specify your computer type and get the wrong disk as a result.
