  36.    When you receive the WordChase v2.0a software, some of the files on 
  37.    the application disk have been compressed. For more information on
  38.    manual file decompression, see section "Decompressing Program 
  39.    Application Files". The following is a list and description
  40.    of the files on your WordChase application disk:

  113.    Decompressing Program Application Files
  114.    ---------------------------------------
  115.    Files on the installation disks that end with "_" have been
  116.    compressed to maximize disk space. These files must be decompressed
  117.    so you can use them. To decompress a file manually, use the
  118.    PKUNZIP.EXE utility. Available on most BBS's.
  119.  
  120.    For example, to decompress the file "WCJFM.1_" and copy the
  121.    decompressed file to your hard disk, type the following at the
  122.    DOS prompt:

  124.        PKUNZIP A:\WCJFM.1_ C:\WC
  125.  
  126.    However, none of this should be necessary because the Setup Program
  127.    will copy and decompress the files for you.

  130.    Disk Space Requirements
  131.    -----------------------
  132.    When installed, WordChase v2.0a uses approximately
  133.    2.2 Megabytes of disk space.

  136. 2. Installation Instructions
  137.    =========================

  139.    Installation
  140.    ------------
  141.    To install WordChase just run the "A:\SETUP.EXE" from the Windows
  142.    Program Manager or if you're using JFTOOLS.EXE just select the
  143.    "Install" button.  If you prefer you can also run the SETUP.EXE
  144.    from any directory, it does not have to be on a floppy drive to
  145.    Install correctly.  The only "MUST DO" operation in the setup
  146.    procedure is to ensure that ALL files listed above are in the
  147.    SAME directory when you go to install the program.  If they are 
  148.    not in the same directory the program won't be able to locate the
  149.    system files required to run.

  151.    Once you run the program just follow the onscreen instructions
  152.    and WordChase will be installed within a couple of minutes.

  154.    The .DLL files and .VBX files required for the program are copied
  155.    into your applications directory. i.e.: "C:\WC".  This is to prevent
  156.    any conflicts between the version numbers of the System Files.  If 
  157.    you prefer you can copy them into your system directory along with
  158.    the other .VBX and .DLL files and delete them from your applications
  159.    directory.  I left that choice up to you.  Either way the program
  160.    will work fine.

  162.    "Not Enough Disk Space" Message during the Installation Program
  163.    ---------------------------------------------------------------
  164.    The WordChase installation program copies several files to your
  165.    WordChase directory. If you have less than 2.2 Meg of free
  166.    disk space on the drive where WordChase is installed, the install
  167.    program displays an error message asking for more disk space on
  168.    the drive where WordChase is going to be installed.  You also
  169.    have the option of choosing another drive to work with.

  173.    The Setup Program will also create a Group called "WordChase" and
  174.    place the WordChase icon into it.
