The MicroEye PictureBook Board (ISA, MCA) is a transputer controlled real time color video digitizer
that combines live video images, still video images and VGA graphics on one monitor under Windows 3.x.
Tranputer links for critical solutions
Using "transputer links" you can connect up to three extra transputer boards to the MicroEye PictureBook board, e.g.,
for multimedia applications, image analysis and data compression. For example, with another MicroEye PictureBook board
you could display two live videos on the monitor and then use the MicroEye Compression board to compress memory intensive
True-Color pictures in no time.
PAL and RGB
The MicroEye PictureBook board digitizes live video images in 32,768 colors (16-Bit) and can
be simultaneously connected to as many as 3 video sources of different standards ( PAL, NTSC, optional).
One port receives an RGB signal. Software allows users to switch back and forth between the
different video ports.
SOUND CONTROL on-board
The MicroEye PictureBook board controls 2 audio-stereo ports, one audio-stereo and one
audio-mono outlet. Users can assign different video sources to the audio channels via software.
For image analysis and multimedia
Because of the tremendous flexibility of transputer links, the MicroEye PictureBook board is used mainly
for multimedia applications. The RGB port allows the MicroEye PictureBook Board to be connected directly
to a professional RGB camera for image analysis applications.
Comes with development environment
The MicroEye PictureBook board comes supplied with a large C library and DLL for developers.
