Archive Conversion Utility
You're probably wondering, "what the hell is ZZAP?"
ZZAP is an archive conversion and test program. It completely
automates the process of converting archives from one format to
the another. But it doesn't stop there. While converting it
tests the integrity of the archive and will optional scan for
viruses (using the popular SCANV program).
Some of it's many features are:
- Test only mode (no conversion).
- Repack archive, it can repack to the same archive type.
- Extensive date/time stamping options.
- Four different user program hooks, one specifically
designed for updating BBS download lists when the
archive name has changed, e.g. FILE.LZH changed to
FILE.ZIP.
- Create a list of changed file names.
- Supports virtually every archive program ever
released, including, but not limited to: ARC, ARJ, DWC,
ICE, LBR, LZH, MD, PAK, SDN, ZIP, and ZOO.
- User extendible to new archiving programs.
- Fully configurable using a text editor, no need to mess
with a hard to understand installation program.
- Convert/test nested archives, even of differing
types.
- Convert in multiple subdirectories.
- Activity log.
- Input and output redirection supported.
- EMS and XMS support to reduce memory overhead.
Nearly everything is configurable, putting you in control of
archive conversions.
