  4. PrintGL is a shareware pen plotter emulator for MS DOS computers.

  6. PrintGL prints an HP-GL (Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language) plotfile on a
  7. matrix printer. HP-GL is widely supported by graphics programs including
  8. AutoCAD, GenCAD, MathCAD, SAS, MICROCADAM, Schema, and many more. PrintGL has
  9. native mode drivers for Epson compatible 9 and 24 pin dot matrix printers, HP
  10. Laserjet, Deskjet, and PaintJet, and IBM 9 and 24 pin Proprinters, Quietwriter
  11. 2 and 3, and LaserPrinter. It will also display plots with a CGA, EGA, VGA,
  12. enhanced VGA, or HGC and output a bit map.

  14. Even if your graphics program supports your printer, you may find that PrintGL
  15. gives better print quality. PrintGL uses the best graphics modes available for
  16. each printer that it supports. If you need printed graphics output from
  17. personal software, you can output HP-GL and use PrintGL to do the printing.
  18. This gives immediate support to a wide range of printers.
