  3. When the  system  automatically
  4. assigns names to translated docu-
  5. ments (see File Naming Method), this
  6. parameter defines the assigned file
  7. extension.

  9. Specific extensions are mandatory
  10. for DisplayWrite 3 ("TXT"),
  11. IBM's RFT ("RFT"),
  12. MultiMate ("DOC"): and WangIWP
  13. ("DOC"):  the  Output  File
  14. Extension cannot be altered for
  15. documents translated into any of
  16. these word processors.

  19. valid DOS extension.
