Short desciption of VGA-Copy 3.2a ....
* Copies all kinds of PC-discettes and makes them faster to access for DOS,
e.g. a file which takes 10 seconds to be read from a DOS-disk could be
read in about 6 seconds from a VGA-Copy-formatted(!) disk.
* You may convert even to "impossible" formats, like the 1.44 MB format on
a 5.25"-disk. This allows you to make copies of any 3,5"-originals.
For some formats like the 1.72 MB on 3.5" or 720 KB on 5.25", an additional
program to adjust the BIOS-functions may be necessary to read these disks
from DOS; otherwise DOS will report 'Sector not found'.
* If you have more than 3 MB RAM on board, you will be able to use this
memory in any way, even if HIMEM.SYS or SMARTDVR.SYS have allocated it
for their own use. In this case, a software reset will be performed when
you quit the program. This is necessary to invoid corruption of the data
on harddisk cached in your smartdrive.
* This program differs from other similar program in one exciting point:
The display is all in VGA-mode, with "Windows"-style buttons and using the
VGA-palette. Using a Hercules or EGA-card is possible too, but you might
be not as delighted of this program as all the VGA-users are.
Since I sold my Atari ST, this is what I was looking for ....
If you are one of those rare CGA-Users you can copy CGA.BGI in the your
Utility-Directory and may you use VGA-Copy on your system, too.
* There is a utility named "Fill-Up!". It does exactly what the name says:
It fills up discettes ! This should make it impossible for viruses to
infect programs on a disk. I prefer this method to write-protected-disks.
By the way, VGA-Copy detects the filled-up bytes on disk as free space.
I can't give you any warranty for this software, neither that it works properly,
nor that it doesn't invoke any damage to your hard- or software. In spite of
this, I don't feel responsible for what you do with my program.
By the way: VGA-Copy is written in Turbo-PASCAL 6.0, (C) 1990 Borland Int.
If you've got any constructive ideas for improvements, please write soon.

PS.: This files have to be distributed in a selfextracting executable,
but it's all right to give away just VGACOPY.EXE if you want to ...
If you do so, please rename the file so that the version-number of
the program becomes obvious from its file name.
