  138.      Most software today is written with the student in mind.  The MATH 
  139.      WORKSHEET GENERATOR has been written with the teacher in mind.  As 
  140.      teachers in today's schools we now have more heterogeneous grouping 
  141.      with multiple levels of student ability.  This places an extra burden 
  142.      on us, especially when it comes to prepararing materials for each 
  143.      of these levels.  The MATH WORKSHEET GENERATOR has been designed  
  144.      to make these preparations easier.

  146.      The MATH WORKSHEET GENERATOR will generate and print worksheets that are 
  147.      used to practice and reinforce basic arithmetical skills.  From the Main 
  148.      Menu, you will have a choice of four types of numbers:

  150.                        1.     WHOLE NUMBERS
  151.                        2.     INTEGERS
  152.                        3.     DECIMALS
  153.                        4.     FRACTIONS
  154.  
  155. For each of these choices, you have an option as to which operation you 
  156. wish to practice:

  162. Once you have made a choice of which operation will be practiced, you need 
  163. to set the level of difficulty.  This may be done selecting the digits in 
  164. the first and second numbers according to the following chart:

  202. In this manner you may personalize your instruction by generating worksheets 
  203. that are adapted to each student's mathematical maturity.  You may generate 
  204. anywhere from 3 to 99 exercises.  I recommend shorter worksheets for beginning 
  205. students (9 or 12 exercises) and longer ones (15 - ?) for middle level and 
  206. advanced students.

  208. Each worksheet and its answer key is identified by a three-digit random 
  209. number, this allows the separation of the answer key if need be.

  211.      The MATH WORKSHEET GENERATOR uses a randomizing process to generate 
  212.      different exercises for each worksheet.  This randomizing process depends 
  213.      on the computer's internal time clock.  If your computer does not have 
  214.      a battery-operated internal clock, you will need to enter the time 
  215.      on your computer before each session with MATH WORKSHEET GENERATOR.
