  5. This version of EZBUDGET has many improvements over its predecessors,
  6. most of them in the form of user-conveniences.  See Chapter 11 of the
  7. EZBUDGET.DOC file for details on how versions differ.

  9. The usual $20 contribution is requested for those using EZBUDGET after 
  10. the free trial period of 1 month.  For those who wish to send an
  11. additional $10 amount (totalling $30), an auxiliary program "MMSUM"
  12. will be sent to you which is helpful in generating yearly summaries of
  13. total activity.  In addition to MMSUM, you will be provided with the
  14. latest version of EZBUDGET, if you don't already have it.  (Please
  15. indicate which version you have.)

  17. MMSUM makes lists of all transactions contained in the TRANSxx.xxx
  18. files within a year (or any other user-specified period of
  19. multi-months).  These files are sorted and totalled by budget
  20. categories.  This is especially useful for determining how much was
  21. spent in each category during the year, in preparation for establishing
  22. new budget category amounts for the next year.  It also serves as a
  23. handy summary of all the activities of a year, to keep along with your
  24. other income tax records.
