  1. I'm assuming that you're not a novice MS-DOS user, if you are and don't
  2. understand the following, seek help or write to me.
  3.  
  4. Installing QF on a hard disk system:
  5.  
  6. 1) Make a new directory for this system ( approx 1M in about 30 files )
  7. 2) unZIP the file ( type QF251 )
  8. 3) Have fun
  9.  
  10. Installing QF on a floppy system:
  11.  
  12. This is harder since there are more files that will fit on a single 360K
  13. floppy. All you really need to run is QF.COM and HEADS.DAT, but that wouldn't 
  14. be very exciting.  The addition of NEED.DIR and TOOLS.BLK adds a lot of tools 
  15. that I find useful.  unZIP'ing other files to a floppy allows the use of the 
  16. word VIEW to look at the source code for a defintion.  The file that the 
  17. definition is in must be available in order for it to be opened and listed. 
  18. (Although SEE will work without the source file.) So the list for floppy users 
  19. is: 
  20.  
  21. 1)unZIP the desired files 
  22.   ( assuming B: is default ->   a:qf251  HEADS.DAT QF.COM TOOLS.BLK any others
  23. 2)Have fun.
