SCOUT 5.0 - 10-05-90 (both SCOUT & SCOUT-EM)
- Recoded the directory tree function to bring it into consonance with
the method used by ArcMaster. SCOUT now uses one directory in which
to maintain the catalog files, named NEW-WARE.X where X is the drive
letter. The default is C:\LOG, but can be defined by the user by
entering the command line parameter "l c:\mydir" when SCOUT is
loaded. If the catalog file path is invalid, SCOUT will rescan each
drive it accesses to rebuild the tree.
- The root directory is now included in the tree. Ctrl-Home is not
necessary to change to root while in the tree.
- The number of directories supported in the tree has increased from
180 to 250. SCOUT will support a tree with a depth of 8 with
directory names up to 8 characters in length.
- Fixed problem with drive space calculations on drive partitions
larger than 32 meg (DOS 4.x, usually).
