  23. Widespread familiarity with global network services and competence in
  24. using them brings benefit to individual users, enriches the information
  25. skills and resources of the community and optimizes the return in
  26. investment in networked services.
  27.  
  28. The Network Training Materials Working Group is chartered to enable the
  29. research community to make better use of the networked services.
  30. Towards this end, the working group will work to provide a mix of
  31. training materials for the broad academic community which will:
  32. (1) enable user support staff to train users to use the networked services,
  33. and (2) provide users with self-paced learning material.  In the first
  34. instance, it will not deal with operational training.
  35.  
  36. This working group is the IETF component of a joint RARE/IETF group
  37. working on network training materials.
  38.  
  39. The working group will create a catalogue of existing network training
  40. materials (using the IAFA style Data Elements where appropriate),
  41. identify the gaps in network training materials and work to identify
  42. the problems associated with hands on training workshops using
  43. networked services providing a real service.

  49.           review of documents and materials to be written.

  51.    Mar 94 Post the catalogue of training materials as an Internet-Draft.

  54.           as an Informational RFC.
