  51. 3. Working Group Informational Documents

  53.    o There were no objections to "A Revised Catalog of Available
  54.      X.500 Implementations" <draft-ietf-ids-catalog-02.txt> being
  55.      publised as an Informational RFC.

  57. ACTION (Stewart): Send note to the RFC Editor giving IESG "ok" to
  58. publish above document.

  60. ACTION (Mankin): Review "Octet sequences for upper-layer OSI to
  61. support basic communications applications"

  66.    o RSA and Security
  67.      This issue will be discussed in more detail at the IESG
  68.      Retreat.  There was consensus, however, that what is
  69.      needed is a clear and unambigious statement from RSA.
  70.  
  71.    o IESG Retreat
  72.      Attendees should RSVP to "lkeiper@cnri.reston.va.us" as
  73.      soon as possible, noting any dietary restrictions.  Agenda
  74.      items should be sent to "iesg-secretary@cnri.reston.va.us".
  75.      This meeting is for IESG members only (i.e., IAB Liaisons
  76.      are not invited); note that this was decided for this
  77.      meeting only and is not setting a precedent.  It was
  78.      decided that the main hotel will be the Summerfield.  Those
  79.      interested in going to an informal dinner Monday night
  80.      should meet in the lobby of the Summerfield at 6:00 p.m.

  83.      Marshall Rose said that the Network Management Directorate
  84.      does not have enough resources to assign an advisor to this
  85.      working group.  Mike O'Dell and Scott Bradner will take off-
  86.      line.

  88.    o OSF-DCE
  89.      Paul Mocapetris has contacted the OSF people, but they have
  90.      not gotten back to him yet.

  92.    o Sun ONC
  93.      Vint Cerf, as ISOC President, is working with Sun to resolve
  94.      some vague issues in the letter that Sun sent to ISOC.

  96.    o SAP Area
  97.      All working groups that were to be concluded have been
  98.      concluded, so the only remaining work item is to re-assign
  99.      working groups.  No action will be taken by the Secretariat
  100.      before the IESG Retreat since there are some over-lapping
  101.      issues.
