  11. The DDN MANAGEMENT BULLETIN is distributed online by the DDN Network
  12. Information Center under DCA contract as a means of communicating
  13. official policy, procedures and other information of concern to
  14. management personnel at DDN facilities.  Back issues may be read
  15. through the TACNEWS server ("@n" command at the TAC) or may be
  16. obtained by FTP (or Kermit) from the NIC.DDN.MIL host [192.67.67.20]
  17. using login="anonymous" and password="guest".  The pathname
  18. for bulletins is DDN-NEWS:DDN-MGT-BULLETIN-nn.TXT (where "nn" is the
  19. bulletin number).

  23.           DEFENSE DATA NETWORK (MILNET) MAILBRIDGE PROBLEMS

  26. A table limitation in the mailbridge function providing Exterior
  27. Gateway Protocol (EGP) service has been reached.  This problem is
  28. having an adverse effect upon certain gateways interchanging routing
  29. information.  Although the full impact is not yet known, fault
  30. isolation messages have indicated that some routing entries are not
  31. being placed into the table for subsequent distribution.  The table is
  32. constructed in a dynamic fashion which precludes the forecasting of
  33. denied entries at this time.

  35. An interim solution of expanding the table sizes is being developed
  36. and is targeted for implementation on or before 1 Dec 90.  Those
  37. gateway users experiencing difficulties should contact the CONUS
  38. MILNET Trouble Desk at 1-800-451-7413, COMCL (202) 486-1982, or DSN
  39. 222-5726 for assistance.
