  14.     Thanks to "Warlord" and "Grafic Equalizer of the Pubb BBS" for the
  15. software and of course good ole Barimor for getting it to me.  Not sure if
  16. this game is completely cracked, I found one doc check and cracked that.
  17. The game is somewhat complicated so I wouldn't be surprised to see some
  18. other shit pop up, either way just let any -=FiRM=- support board know if
  19. there are problems, no one's perfect.  I could only get the doc check by
  20. pressing "K" in a race, which I assume means "Kill", after the doc check
  21. your are "Towed to Pit".  The doc check is cracked even if called from
  22. other places in the program and I saw no other references to this routine
  23. nor the bomb routine (exit to DOS with SOFTWARE PROTECTION error) so it
  24. should be O.K.  Now we just need some damn dox!   There's been a rash of
  25. games lately and the dox are slow catching up.  If your into Formula
  26. racing then you'll like this, sorry no VGA this time...

  28.     On my 4.77 8088 this thing was reeeaaaalllll slow, the keyboard
  29. response was VERY sluggish so be patient.  Here's what I learnt:

  31. To see the DEMO (not so good) just let the title screen run without a
  32. key-press and it switches to DEMO.

  34. F10 - Menu (from anywhere BUT racing)
  35.  
  36. There you can change setup or Exit to DOS.   You must select the Exit to
  37. DOS function TWICE to make sure that's really what you want to do.
  38.  
  39. Basically you use a joystick, mouse (hopefully!) or keyboard arrow keys to
  40. move the icon around the screen and the buttons (or RETURN) select what
  41. you are pointing at, nothing tricky about that.

  43. The race works like Test Drive, on a keyboard you gotta keep pressing UP
  44. to accelerate, if you let off then you will slow down.  BTW, check out the
  45. graphics in your side mirrors, pretty cool...

  47. Hey, make sure to check the Second IBM game to be truly "Trained" called
  48. TARGHAN, the trainer (and fix for that middle of the game doc check) is
  49. out and doing great.  Now turn into the direction of the Software Surgeons
  50. house and give me 40 bows!

  52. BTW, that file WARLORD.TK is just a text file to him breifly explaining
  53. how I cracked this game as a courtesy to him.
