  1. ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  2.  
  3. If you install FireTeam 2200 to floppy disks instead of a hard drive,
  4. the first time you play you must set your configuration.
  5.  
  6.     If you installed to two disks, type FIRETEAM TWO to set your
  7.     FIRECON.FIG configuration file to the proper setting the first time
  8.     you play.
  9.  
  10.     If you installed to three disks, type FIRETEAM THREE to set your
  11.     FIRECON.FIG configuration file to the proper setting the first time
  12.     you play.
  13.  
  14. If you ever want to change your FIRECON.FIG configuration file to the
  15. setting for hard drive use, type FIRETEAM ONE.
  16.  
  17. Once you have set your configuration file, you do not need to type
  18. ONE, TWO, or THREE unless you want to change the configuration.

  21. PLAYING WITH DISSIMILAR DRIVES
  22.  
  23. As the manual states, you may play FireTeam 2200 from 2 floppy drives,
  24. provided both have a minimum of 720K capacity.  However, if the two drives
  25. are dissimilar in type (e.g. one 5.25" drive and one 3.5" drive),
  26. you will need to perform an extra step to completely install the
  27. product to disks you can play from.
  28.  
  29. After you have installed the product onto 2 (or 3) disks of one type,
  30. you will need to copy the files from the Program Disk onto a disk of
  31. the "other" type.
  32.  
  33. For example, if you have four 5.25" installation disks, and your system
  34. has one 1.2M 5.25" drive and one 1.44M 3.5" drive, you should install
  35. the game from the installation disks to two 3.5" disks.  Then you should
  36. copy the 3.5" Program Disk to a 5.25" Program Disk.  You may then play
  37. FireTeam 2200 using the 5.25" Program Disk in Drive A and the 3.5" Construct
  38. Disk in Drive B.
  39.  
  40. If you need to get even trickier because of your particular configuration,
  41. you can install and copy files at will, provided you obey the following
  42. guidelines when you are done:

  44. The Program Disk must always be placed in Drive A.
  45. The Simulation Disk (if used) and the Construct Disk must always be
  46. placed in Drive B.
  47.
