  82.   combines 16-bit PCM samples of acoustic sounds
  83.       with synthesized waveforms to create
  84.                realistic timbres.

  86. Also required is a MIDI computer interface (such
  87. as the MPU-IPC) and an external amplifier/speaker
  88.  (such as your home stereo) in order to use the
  89.  MT-32 with your Sierra game.  The MT-32 can be

  98. Before running your Sierra game, be sure to always
  99. complete the following procedure:

  101. 1.  Make sure the MT-32 is connected to your MIDI
  102.     computer interface and an external amplifer
  103.     or stereo system.
  104. 2.  Turn the MT-32 power switch to ON.
  105. 3.  Set your amplifer or stereo volume to a
  106.     moderate listening level.

  111. Graphics Adaptor and an RGB OR
  112. COMPOSITE monitor. It will produce black
  113. and white images, with various dot patterns
  114. used to simulate color.

  140. patterns to produce 16 shades of gray.

  145. claims CHIP LEVEL compatibility with an IBM
  146. Enhanced Graphics Adaptor. You do NOT need an
  147. EGA monitor. Any monitor compatible with an

  152. This combination works with the built-in video
  153. circuitry of a TANDY 1000 series computer.
  154. If you have installed an additional graphics 
  155. adaptor in your system, you may select that 
  156. adaptor instead, but you must ensure that your
  157. monitor is connected to the correct plug.

  162. Select this keyboard if you have an original
  163. TANDY 1000 keyboard. It will allow TANDY 1000
  164. owners to control their cursor with the
  165. numeric keypad. Certain later model TANDY 1000s
  166. come equipped with an IBM compatible key layout,
  167. and these owners should select the IBM Compatible
  168. Keyboard.
  169. The original TANDY 1000 series keyboard uses a
  170. key layout that differs significantly from the
  171. IBM standard. This keyboard can be identified
  172. by the location of the CAPS LOCK key in the
  173. LOWER/LEFT corner of the keyboard.
