ABOUT THE SNRS: It has come to the attention of the SNRS that at least one
customer has been the target of legal action for copyright violation. The
service that the SNRS provides is to anonymously and safely distribute
applications, productivity, and utility software to businesses and
individuals solely for evaluation purposes. The SNRS feels that it must
emphisize that it does not condone software piracy (duplication or usage of
software that violates the copyright held by the publisher/producer of that
software), and strongly urges any recipient of pirated software to use such
software for reasonable evaluation purposes only. Software that is used on a
regular basis to meet a specific need of the user should be purchased.
It should also be evident that the one exception to the SNRS' stand on
copyright violation is in the arena of modification of software for personal
and "fair" usage. The SNRS refuses to accept "license" agreements as being
binding for software that has obviously been PURCHASED, and encourages those
who buy such software to modify and otherwise change such software to suit
their own needs. However, the SNRS does not condone theft of software code for
commercial purposes.
