  1. Greetings!

  3. As many of you know, the initial developers on the Mosaic for Microsoft
  4. Windows project have left NCSA to pursue careers in the commercial
  5. world.  Chris Wilson has joined Spry Inc. based in Seattle, Washington,
  6. and Jon Mittelhauser has joined Mosaic Communications Corporation
  7. (MCC) in Mountain View, CA.  We wish Chris and Jon the best in their
  8. commercial endeavors.

  10. In the mean time, NCSA has increased it's level of support for the Mosaic
  11. for MS Windows project by providing the funding to hire three full-time
  12. developers for the MS Windows platform. Among the most recent
  13. additions to the Mosaic team are Briand Sanderson, who has been with
  14. NCSA's HDF group for almost 2 years, Ryan Grant from  the PC Telnet
  15. project, and Darian Woodford from the Windows Telnet project. There are
  16. many planned enhancements for Mosaic in the future, and NCSA is
  17. continuing to look for more excellent programmers for the Mosaic project.

  20. We've spent these last two months addressing some of the bugs that
  21. were introduced in the previous versions of Mosaic.  For example, the
  22. printing bugs were fixed and Mosiac will print exactly what you see in the
  23. document view window.   We've also plugged the major memory leaks
  24. and we've added a couple of enhancements to Mosaic.  Please refer to
  25. our update.txt file for the complete list of bug fixes and enhancements.
